Logorama

Saw this over at Illroots:

This is a short film that was directed by the French animation collective H5, François Alaux, Hervé de Crécy + Ludovic Houplain. It was presented at the Cannes Film Festival 2009. It opened the 2010 Sundance Film Festival and won a 2010 academy award under the category of animated short.

Basically, its a short story that features pretty much every logo imaginable. I went into it thinking it was gonna be something like Toy Story or Finding Nemo, wrong. The piece was darker than what I thought it would be. We all grown, but yeah...don't watch this with the kids.

I've seen all the shorts a couple of times, and I definitely don't think this should have won. The Wallace and Gromit one was great, and another one that was shown with the nominated ones (but wasn't even nominated) was great as well.

You can see it here: http://www.nfb.ca/film/runaway

Also, the short from the beginning of "Up," with the clouds/storks, is amazing.
