Aggressive Listening: A-Dam-Shame- "Get It"
{you may have to scroll down to pause the video at the bottom of the post, it starts automatically}}
I don't know why. But I just woke up with this song on my mind this morning. Which prompted me to blast this ish on repeat during my morning run. My heart almost exploded. Not because of my shape (I'm in the best shape I've been in years, btw) but because this song is that crunk. I've seen plenty of asses beat to this song.
I hadn't heard anything from A-Dam-Shame in a minute though. They used to rep Scotsdale hard as hell. For a minute only them and Ghetto Mafia was all us Eastsiders had to claim in this rap sh*t (One time for Mr. Ku and Scotsdale)I used to ride to alot of their music. Granted their songs rivaled Run-DMC's length wise and they overused similes from time-to-time, but it still jammed.
Today's motto is GET IT!
Bonus Listens:
A-Dam-Shame-"Southern Hospitality" (1997)
A-Dam-Shame-"The Game Ain't Rated" feat. UGK & Too $hort (1997)
A-Dam-Shame feat. Lil Jon, Big Floaty & Bun B-"Don't Play Dat" (2003)

Killa Kill and No I.D. found some quiet time at the zoo that is Grand Hustle to chop it up for the UNN cameras.
Playboy Tre: Fan A Day
Once again, Playboy Tre is back at it. This time he hits up the local Home Depot to see whats good. Things looked a little tense for a second. Did he really make a fan this time?
If you're going to be out in Austin for SXSW make sure you keep up with Playboy Tre, he and the rest of the H.A.M. Squad (B.o.B., B-Rich) are going to be all over the place ripping shows.
Coming Soon: Joe Johnson in the 2009 Playoffs
Man. This really gave me chills. I was in the building last year. This image is tattooed in my brain. Damn.

Got That Work
AOL.com just dropped a list of companies who are hiring right now. Figured I'd share the information.

www.mauricegarland.com
Once again, Playboy Tre is at it trying to make a new fan a day. This time he hit up Tru Skool Tuesdays at the Apache Cafe to open up for KRS-One. He chopped it up with the fans later that night. Did he win another follower?

Serius Jones-Life Is Short (short film)
Serius Jones presents Life is Serius[The Movie] from IrunsNY on Vimeo.
Great piece directed and produced by the homie Winn over at UNN. I'm not even finished watching it yet, but I had to go ahead and post this for ya'll to see. Even if you don't know anything about Serius Jones (he's a rapper from Jersey who got his stripes battling and signed with Disturbin Tha Peace but left sometime last year), I'm sure you'll enjoy this. If Serius' rap career doesn't pan all the way out, he definitely has a career as a actor or comedian, dude is entertaining as hell.
Z-Ro feat. Mya-"Tired"
Z-Ro is one of my favorite rappers and he just dropped a vid for one of my favorite songs. I love the ending.

Hollywood (on) Shuffle
I had my iTunes on shuffle and these two songs played back-to-back. Figured I'd blog about it since they weren't numbers that I could play on the lottery. Which song do you think speaks more or simply jams the hardest.
Chaka Khan & Rufus' "Hollywood"
OR
Rick James' "Hollywood"
I might be slightly partial to Rick because he speaks from the ambitious young man's point of view. Plus its made way for a couple of dope ass rap songs. What do ya'll think?
